Mr Lee Kuan Yew would have been 100 years old this year! And in his lifetime transformed our beloved country into a green beautiful city!

Commemorating Mr Lee’s role as the founding father of Singapore and initiator of our tree planting movement, DPM Lawrence Wong came to Jalan Besar GRC to plant 100 trees here early Sunday morning.

Electrifying atmosphere at St George’s Lane where residents and other volunteers joined DPM, Jalan Besar Town Council Chair Dr. Wan Rizal, Min Josephine Teo, SMS Heng Chee How, Hany Soh and Tan Kiat How and myself.

All 15 PAP Town Councils will plant 10,000 trees this year as part of their support for Green Action! And are doing more to create a greener and more sustainable home for all.
