Fairprice Opening at Tekka Place

Finally finally - one piece of good local news - the opening of a new Fairprice supermarket at Tekka Place (near The Verge)!

Yes, it may be a small deal for most but mighty important to my residents in the city. Exciting for me too as I have been working on this need for a while now.

The last Fairprice mart at Rochor was no more to be, due to the north-south highway project a few years ago. To serve, especially, the seniors , my team and I then ran a mini shuttle service to do their weekly grocery and food marketing which was not ideal.

But the new supermart that Fairprice boss Seah Kian Peng helped make a reality is something else - near and new; and it even threw in a local Little India flavour of carrying a range of special Indian goodies like good basmati rice and Indian spices.

Ok ok, I admit I did shop a little there during office hours , with some happy residents I met; safe social distancing and no over-buying!
