I shared with our young recipients how, regardless of age and resource, they too can be “givers”; first obvious (or not so obvious) place to start is at home and the neighbourhood. Honouring other folks living around us - our parents, grandparents, siblings, domestic helpers, neighbours, estate cleaners and food centre workers. And then, consider serving like the many volunteers who helped make these awards events a reality.
