Honouring the Heroes who Plod Behind the Scenes

A pre-school teacher, a retired senior nurse, a lawyer and two administrators - from different walks of life - are some of our regular volunteers at my PAP Kampong Glam Branch.

They were recipients of the PAP Long Service Awards last weekend.

They, with many other branch volunteers, had served together with me for years in my political life.

Together, we handle the numerous daily online and SMS appeals; now that physical sessions are paused due to COVID-19. And provide other areas of help to my residents.

These are volunteers who quietly plod behind the scenes; and many who began way before I entered the political scene. Never shy to don white.

Very grateful to all of them.
