Jalan Besar GRC Citizenship Ceremony 2021

In my book, Singapore citizenship is priceless.

I welcomed and congratulated the new citizens in my ward at a special ceremony this weekend. Many of them were PRs in Singapore for many years and are now formally part of our big Singapore family.

The State has a set of macro considerations when approving citizenship applications and these are never easy decisions.

I urged our beloved new citizens to take seriously the national pledge we recited and actively contribute towards helping our country grow from strength to strength.
