Community Care Apartment Model as a Housing Option
The disability community is excited over the potential of housing option of Community Care Apartments for PWDs - the pilot was initiated for elderly folks who are able to live in the community with the appropriate tiers of social and healthcare support packages. Both my Parliamentary colleague Ng Ling Ling and I urged MND Minister Desmond Lee to extend this pilot beyond the seniors the model is intended for.
As always, the ever caring and competent Minister said he will study our appeal. Several forum letters recently appeared, too, requesting for the same.
