Visit to Tai Pei Old People's Home @ Balestier

The oldest resident is 108 and doing well!

Tai Pei Old People’s Home at Balestier is in my ward now after the last GE. It’s privately run by the temple and hosts about a hundred elderly folks.

I joined our Neighbourhood Committee (of private estates nearby) to bring some CNY festive cheers, and to find out how they had been coping with COVID.

Though we cannot enter the home itself due to safety measures, I’m glad to learn residents are coping fine and about how society can also honour the healthcare staff serving in smaller non-hospital facilities such as this.
