Farewell, Stamford Primary School!

I was at an emotional farewell at Stamford Primary School in my ward, which will no longer be physically around, come 2023.

Principal Cassie n team meticulously chronicled and shared the school’s history; honoured its past school leaders and alumni; and curated a list of performing arts items for all of us school partners.

With the falling baby cohorts in the neighbourhood, the school will be merged and students/staff moved over to the nearby Farrer Park Primary School.

All the Stamford principals I partnered with (as grassroots adviser and mayor) - dear Cassie Fam, Robin and Cheng Huat, and their wonderful staff - served the students and families well. I will miss all of them.

As said many times at the farewell, the school building may no longer be there, but the spirit and memories of the Stamfordians live on.

I look forward to continuing to serve the students in need soon to be at Farrer Park with our Central Singapore CDC suite of offerings for kids in need.
