A Visit to Boon Lay Secondary School

A great day for me. Had a wonderful visit to Boon Lay Sec School with Education Minister Chan Chun Sing and fellow GPC mate MP Shawn Huang.

Besides finding out that BLS is a very appealing CCA-base school, I made a few other fun observations:

  • Principal is Mr Inderjit Singh (but not my parliamentary friend Inderjit)

  • Every student gets a personal learning device and the school helps manage screen time and cyber safety

  • Educators and students we met shared unpretentious and interesting views

  • Ed Minister Chan as always has visionary and inspiring views on jobs, employment, school, and life (I just pray they will come to pass before I expire)

  • My decade-long volunteer, PY, at Autism Resource Centre Singapore / Pathlight School is an educator there at BLS - woohoo!
