Central Singapore CDC X St Andrew’s JC Giraffes Singapore

St Andrew’s JC is one of the few JCs (and a well-loved one) in Central District where I serve.

What an honour it was to join the Central Singapore CDC X St Andrew’s JC Giraffes Singapore Collaboration event today, on National Day Eve! Part of the JC’s servant leadership development programme.

Together with the school body, I also participated in the SAJC’s National Day Observance Ceremony.

I am so thankful for eight fantastic years of partnership with SAJC.

This year, my CDC team partnered SAJC again in our mission to help our residents live The Better Life.

“Sticking their necks out for the common good”, these young volunteer ‘giraffes’ step out to make a difference in our community.

Various groups of students participated in different volunteer activities:

• Cleaning and painting of identified rental units of disadvantaged Elderly folks under our ‘Silver Homes’ programme

• Engaging vulnerable children through enrichment activities at our ‘Junior Stars’ Nurture Workshops

• Encouraging members of the public by sharing of volunteering experiences as ‘Giraffe Singapore’ advocates

Very heartened to see the next generation of youths stepping up to support our country. Youth advocacy is paramount!
