SkillsFuture Advice Workshops @ Central Singapore CDC
Lifelong learner and Training Consultant Raj Somaligam is one of our Central CDC’s partners in advising residents to embark on their SkillsFuture pathway.
Raj had a stroke (subarachnoid haemorrhage) in April 2019 while she was in the gym for a typical workout.
The stroke struck suddenly and left her having to relearn how to walk, shower, prepare a hot drink, use the calculator, computer, etc.
But thank God, Raj miraculously relearned everything, bounced back and she’s back to training in our SkillsFuture Advice workshops.
We met last week when I briefed and onboarded our pool of training consultants selected to serve our residents come 2024.
To date, our CDC has conducted 187 SkillsFuture Advice workshops for more than 14,000 participants this year in Central District.
Free 90-minute sessions that tell us of trends of future workforces and upcoming skills.
About 55,000 residents joined us since we started in 2017.

Who knows, you may even get to hear Raj’s exciting story one day!
