Co-Hosting the Spouses of Singapore's Honorary Consuls - General

Happy to help co-host the spouses of Singapore’s Honorary Consuls-General (HCGs) today at the Istana.

Many are capable women of standing, in their own right. Inspired by some of their achievements. Glad, too, to meet the lovely (and talented) spouses of some of our own cabinet ministers.

In PM’s words, “HCGs are mostly foreign citizens appointed by us to represent Singapore. They provide consular functions in cities where we do not have a resident diplomatic presence. “

We are a small nation-state and important to make as many friends as possible globally. Thank God too for the tough work by our Singapore Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
