Skills for Good Festival 2023 @ Junction8

One of the favourite initiatives I love doing at our Central CDC is the SKILLSFUTURE Advice Workshops we run almost weekly and the YEARLY SKILLS FOR GOOD FESTIVAL!

Yesterday my team and I completed a successful full-weekend Skills for Good Festival at Bishan Junction8 - to encourage lifelong learning in our residents.

So grateful to SkillsFuture SG and Employment and Employability Institute (e2i) for co-organising the Festival with Central Singapore CDC.

Also couldn’t have done it too with so many learning partners like Nanyang Polytechnic, ITE Central, IMDA and many precious others!

This year, residents learnt about industry trends, jobs, and skills in the Green, Digital, and Care economies:

Altogether, 15 LEARNING BOOTHS by our amazing learning partners! 6 off-site LEARNING JOURNEYS such as to a sustainable crab farm and Maritime Drone Estate and the NEWater Visitor Centre.

Chong Kee Hiong (local grassroots advisor of bishan) and I learnt a lot at the two-day event held in Junction 8, Bishan.

3 Cheers to all our lifelong learning heroes who are a part of this high-energy "Skills for Good" Festival!

Let’s keep learning for the good of SELF; for the COMMUNITY, and for good/life!
