Run for Inclusion 2023 @ Singapore Turf Club

SOLE MATES is a fund our CDC created to support inclusive sports workouts in our Central District.

For years now, we have helped sponsor RunningHour’s weekly runs by persons with disabilities (PwDs) and their volunteer running buddies.

RunningHour’s Annual Run for Inclusion of some 2,200 runners held last weekend, is also another regular feature supported by our CDC - with other important sponsors such as Singapore Turf Club, Japanese Chamber of Commerce & Industry Singapore-JCCI, and SportCares.

And what an incredible day it's been! Minister Chan Chun Sing came along too!

The annual Run for Inclusion 2023 celebrates inclusivity, determination, and support for the disability community - some PWDs ran much faster and further than others.

I was really glad to meet many familiar faces including visually impaired musician Lawrence, who completed his first ever 10km race.

And teacher Brian Ravi who yearly led his group of Pathlight students on the autism spectrum to join in the run.

My heart was deeply touched.

Thank you RunningHour chair Chris Horton and founder John See Toh and everyone who gave.
