We have a wonderful group of District Councillors (DCs) that's behind the CDC.

Last night, I led the 11th Council of our Central CDC to discuss plans, celebrate achievements, and map out community programmes for 2024!

If you've worked in the corporate sector, you’ll probably be familiar with the “regional office” concept.

And that’s what the CDC is.

We are a regional (district ) office that supports the divisions and their residents in our district . There are23 divisions in Central District.

Our CDC work through our local divisions, all 23 of them, to serve more than 1 million residents.

None of this is possible without our team of wonderful District Councillors (DCs).

Our DCs are a team of committed volunteers who bring their expertise and networks as we spread initiatives to assist, build and connect our communities.

Some are corporate honchos, some individual volunteers, some grassroots, all bringing something precious to the table .

Last night I reported to the team , on some completed key initiatives include the CDC Vouchers Scheme; several financial and enrichment programmes for our children and youths ; The Purple Parade and SkillsFuture Advice Workshops - the full suite has #52 programmes .

Excited to chart the CDC’s future with our DCs and other key partners whom I will share more next time.
