What would we do without MOMS?

This Mother’s Day, my volunteers and I dropped by several resident hangouts in our hood and sent greetings (and a carnation) to moms of all kinds.

I lost my mom to Alzheimer’s some years back and wish I had spent more time with her. She was the fierce Hakka woman who insisted my siblings and I got the education she never did.

To all mothers reading this, thank you for all you do - today is your special day and you are honoured!
