Developing the Next Generation of Leaders
Non-profits, like businesses and political parties, also need time and runway to develop the next generation of leaders.
In organisations where I directly serve and lead, nurturing personal leadership (or self-mastery) is the starting point, followed by leadership at the interpersonal, supervisory, and organisational levels. Each level comes with its needed competencies and toolkits.
Not all will stay and lead, but to build depth and strength, I hope many will face the mountains and help strengthen the sector they are called to.
