I was thanking hawkers with some souvenirs as part of the NEA’s UNESCO hawker culture award appreciation initiative. Met Charlene Ong, a young hawker who is running the Tree Coconut Nasi Lemak stall at Jalan Berseh Food Centre.

An amazing work ethic that is reflective of our new generation of hawkers in Singapore.

Met many more veteran hawkers too, who made Singapore such a unique home for us all. Kudos!
