Visit to Sze Thye Confectionery and House Visits @ Beach Road

Traditional and precious pastries are baked daily at Sze Thye Confectionery, opened 9am to 7pm daily!

Mr. Koh, the serious-looking but gentle boss, single-handedly runs the shop; learning the trade when he was 12.

I could not resist buying the pastries at the ground floor shop after my house visits last Sunday.

The aroma and the colourful range of biscuits n snacks were simply hard to resist. Must support and buy! My volunteers and I all went home with the freshly-baked still-warm old favourite “Lao Puoy Piah” (“wife” biscuit).

Before I forget, big thanks to the team who came along to visit block 2 residents with me, we had fun.
