Visit to Dover Park Hospice

Reflections after visiting Dover Park Hospice in my GRC and Central District.

I was deeply touched when I visited the Hospice’s stay-in and daycare facilities during CNY.

Touched by the patients many of whom have terminal illnesses- their strength, their fight, in the face of pain and sometimes fear.

Touched too by the many committed staff who treated the patients with respect, dignity and gentleness. Takes a special breed to do this work.

Dover Park Hospice’s mission is to provide comfort, relief of symptoms and palliative care to patients with advanced disease regardless of age, race or religion, and to support the grieving families.

The DPS team is doing a great job.

Do support them in funds and volunteering.
