Parliamentary Questions @ This Month's Sitting
For this month's Sitting, I raised 3 Parliamentary Questions:
MAJULAH PACKAGE. To ask the Deputy PM and Minister for Finance whether the Majulah Package for Singaporeans can be modified to include items for which only age (and not housing type and income) forms the eligibility criteria.
SCHOOL BUS FARE HIKE. To ask the Minister for Education (a) what is the expected impact of the recent announcement by the Ministry to allow an increase in the pricing cap of school bus fares of no more than 13%; and (b) how can families of affected students (esp those with higher special education needs) be assisted.
MAINTENANCE OF HDB RENTAL FLATS. To ask the Minister for National Development (a) whether an update can be provided on the revised approach to prioritise inspections of occupied HDB rental flats; and (b) what the annual schedule and budget allotted under the revised approach for proactive regular maintenance of these flats - beyond the repairs requested by tenants.
Looking forward to the Ministries' considered (hopefully favourable) responses!
